MAYA CALENDAR

The Cholq’ij (Order of Days) is a 260-day Sacred Maya Calendar that examines time as consciousness. It is the foundation for philosophies and studies of nature, as well as understanding the human-being since conception in pregnancy. The knowledge is preserved by the Day-Keepers (Ajq’ij) and passed down to apprentices through oral tradition over thousands of years, and it continues to guide the lives of the Maya to this day. There are 20 archetypal nawals and 13 numeral nawals, each with their own set of characteristics.

I am an advanced reader of the Maya Calendar, apprentice of tat Apab’yan Tew in the shamanic practises of the K’iche Maya lineage. I discovered the most profound way of understanding life, humanity, and the atmosphere of our interconnected purposes in Maya knowledge. I chose this path to become a Spiritual Guide in order to help not only myself, my family, and friends, but anyone else I can reach who is looking for guidance and well-being. I was already involved with other indigenous ethnicities before embarking on this path with the Maya.
