This is not another course about the “Mayan Calendar.”
This is about the core principles – the foundation that comes before the Nawals.
The knowledge preserved in traditional villages
Ajq’ij (Spiritual Guide), trained directly by tat Apab’yan Tew in the K’iche’ Maya tradition from Nahualá, Guatemala.
I’ve worked with indigenous communities for over a decade and have been deeply immersed in Maya culture for 8 years, specialising in the Cholq’ij, spiritual practices, and the study of human behaviour based on gestation.
I’m the creator of the YouTube channel Maya Daykeeper, where I share content about Maya Calendar, with some videos featuring my tat to amplify voices directly from the source. Now, for the first time, I’m opening a group course focused on the knowledge of my lineage.
This course goes beyond cosmology and Popol Vuh. This is about the core principles Maya communities actually use – how the Cholq’ij reveals human nature through gestation, connecting the 260-day cycle to pregnancy, blood, and the dynamics that explain why this calendar exists. Not academic theory. Not colonised interpretations. How traditional communities actually use this knowledge.
This course does not grant titles or certifications as Ajq’ij, but offers genuine immersion into Maya thought, teaching you how to read the calendar in a practical and profound way.
This course is for:
This is not esoteric new age practices or contemporary interpretations created for tourists. This is serious study, free from colonial distortions, for those who want authentic connection with living knowledge as it continues to be practised in communities that preserve the original calendar.
If you’re looking for something superficial to entertain your followers, this isn’t for you. But if you want to learn with depth, respect, and truth, you’re welcome here.
